POPPING FOR PARKINSON'S OFFICIAL TEACHER TRAINING
This is a two-day professional development opportunity for experienced Popping dance teachers interested in becoming official Popping For Parkinson's teachers.
The course will provide participants with an insight into how to structure Popping For Parkinson's classes for people living with Parkinson’s, as well as focusing on the artistic imperative behind a Parkinson’s dance programme.
Dance practitioners will gain an overview of the effects of the condition on dance participants, learn how to ensure safety for all participants and benefit from the practical experience of devising and delivering content for a Popping For Parkinson's class.
Course leaders: Simone Sistarelli (Founder of Popping For Parkinson's) and Sarah Webb (Founder of SLYPN)
Course participants must be professional Popping dance teachers with at least 5 years of experience in delivering Popping classes.
Popping For Parkinson's is the first project to use Popping as proper dance therapy. This is a unique opportunity to learn the official Popping For Parkinson's method, gain valuable insights and training and become PFP teachers.
